Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Front Office Business Analyst to join the existing team on a brand-new project.

This role is based in London.

What You'll Do

  • We are seeking a Front Office Business Analyst to join a dynamic team at a leading global investment bank. This role is critical for supporting front office teams by enhancing processes, developing analytical solutions, and delivering strategic insights to drive the bank's revenue-generating activities.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate closely with traders, sales teams, and other key stakeholders across a range of asset classes, providing high-quality analysis, project management, and support to facilitate business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with traders, sales teams, and other front office stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on trading processes and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and optimisation.
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end projects, from requirements gathering and documentation to execution and post-implementation reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and support data and analytics solutions, including dashboards, reports, and models, which provide actionable insights.
  • Work with technology and operations teams to integrate new systems and enhancements, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • Function as a liaison between front office teams and IT, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective technical solutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of front office processes to identify risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably within the front office of an investment bank or other financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, trading, and front office functions across asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX, commodities).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in an Agile or hybrid project management environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to improving business processes.
