Incident Management & Jira Risk Consultant - DORA/Operational Resilience

Robert Half is supporting their client, a leading Global Consulting Firm, in the search for a Jira Consultant with expertise in designing, configuring, and optimising Jira environments for incident management, IT risk workflows, and resilience reporting. This role supports a global consultancy and their end client, a top-tier global investment bank, in streamlining and aligning Jira-based incident processes with regulatory frameworks such as DORA.

Assignment Details:

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week in-office, with remote flexibility)

Duration: Initial 3 months (strong likelihood of extension for implementation phase)

Day Rate: £600 p/day via PAYE (employer's NI & tax deducted at source - no umbrella company fees) plus accrued holiday pay at 12.07%

Start Date: ASAP, subject to standard financial & criminal background checks

Key Responsibilities:

Jira Design & Configuration

  • Configure and optimise Jira workflows, issue types, and custom fields for incident lifecycle tracking
  • Build dashboards, filters, and automation rules for real-time reporting and escalation
  • Streamline incident, risk, and change processes into Jira for consistency and auditability
  • Integrate Jira with Confluence and/or other tooling for knowledge management and collaboration
  • Support Jira governance including RACI ownership, SLA setup, and control reporting

Incident & Operational Risk Alignment

  • Translate operational risk and IT incident policies into Jira workflows
  • Support IT and Risk teams with setting up governance controls, approvals, and escalation paths
  • Align Jira workflows with regulatory requirements, particularly DORA and ITDR protocols
  • Work with internal and client-side SMEs to standardise usage across regions and teams

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Jira Consultant, Admin, or Product Owner - ideally in enterprise environments
  • Strong Jira configuration experience (Cloud or Server/DC), including workflow and permission schemes
  • Familiarity with incident management, IT risk, or ITSM practices
  • Comfortable gathering requirements from risk, operations, and technology teams
  • Previous exposure to financial services, investment banking, or consulting environments
  • Knowledge of DORA, ITIL, or MIM/DR frameworks is highly desirable
