Reporting to: Corporate Banking Relationship Manager
Mandarin speaking Analyst, Corporate Banking - What You'll be Doing:
- You will play a supporting role to the Corporate Banking Relationship Manager within the Business Development Department;
- be involved in the entire process of new deal origination, structuring and execution;
- support the Corporate Banking Relationship Manager in all aspects of post lending management.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Assist Corporate Banking Relationship Manager to develop new business for the Bank;
- Work on due diligence analysis, Credit Proposal preparation, client on-boarding and facility funding, etc. for new transactions;
- Follow the Bank’s internal process to achieve the successful closing of the team’s deal flow;
- Contribute to business development and actively promote the Bank’s products to targeted clients;
- Have regular updates with key industry contacts to keep abreast of the market trends;
- Play a vital role in the covenant & post lending monitoring of the Bank’s existing loan book;
- Work on periodic reviews and non-periodic reviews of the existing portfolio names;
- Liaise with counterparties (including but not limited to local branches, sister branches and head office) and ensure all deadlines are met;
- Adhere to regulations, legal obligations and data protection rules;
- Develop skills required for account planning, client pitching and cross-selling, and gain initial experience in client ownership;
- Familiarise and in compliance with the Bank’s various policies; and
- Any ad hoc work as assigned by your line manager and department head.
Mandarin speaking Analyst, Corporate Banking - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor degree or above in economics, accounting, finance, business or legal.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role in the financial sector, ideally in a commercial/corporate banking environment;
- Have exceptional communication and time management skills, be able to work under tight deadlines;
- Attention to detail;
- Competent in building rapport, trust and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Result orientated and can do spirit;
- Able to work in a small team with a positive and cooperative attitude;
- Willing to embrace new cultures, break down barriers and challenge complacency;
- Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
