On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Market Abuse Risk Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, based hybrid in London.

NatWest is a major UK retail bank, providing every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

As a Market Abuse Risk Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing comprehensive business requirements documents covering all risks, issues, and requirements related to trading and market issues.
  • Collaborating on a bespoke project.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to review the bank's processes and ensure satisfaction with existing deals.
  • Engaging with traders to understand and document their requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Providing observations and recommendations based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Performing data analysis to support project objectives, ensuring effective communication and quick thinking to gather and interpret information.
  • Focusing on clear, concise communication rather than process-heavy approaches.
  • Applying process mapping techniques to streamline project workflows.
  • Leveraging knowledge of market abuse trading practices and procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Proven experience in business analysis, preferably in market abuse and market risk, with a focus on trading environments and risk control.
  • Experience in influencing system development and handling complex projects involving both proof of concept and existing systems.
  • Stakeholder management-build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including traders, compliance officers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in first line of defence would be beneficial.
  • Understands market abuse in the FX, Rates and Fixed Income product sets and can help design a solution to address the market abuse risk in this area.
