The Role:Assist in the development of pricing models to enhance portfolio management capabilities within the MGU.Ensure current and future data capabilities are optimised to improve pricing and reporting outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical
  • Support with the production of new pricing models utilising GLMs, GBMs NNs
  • Maintain the quarterly reserving process via ResQ & Excel across all product lines: Motor, Casualty, Property & Others
  • Complete key data checks as part of monthly reporting processes
  • Cleanse and interrogate complex datasets to generate business insight

Reporting

  • Contribute to the facilitation of automated reporting, data pipelines and quality assurance
  • Support delivery of the business plan across each of the portfolios
  • Communicate analysis and recommendations through data visualisations

General

  • Pursue professional development and excellence with the support of the Learning & Development team
  • Assist underwriters to maintain carrier relationships by giving support for requests for proposals

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Experience of using any of the following: Radar, Akur8 or ResQ
  • Up to 3years Experience in either a pricing role or a reserving role
  • Qualifications:
  • Mathematics degree, or similar
  • Actuarial student of IFoA or similar body
