About the Role:

Salt Recruitment's Local Government team is excited to offer an opportunity to work as a Product Analyst on a high-impact public-sector project with a central London local government body. This role is part of a flagship initiative to improve the council's 'Report It' digital service, which enables residents, businesses, and visitors to report street-based issues quickly and efficiently.

We're looking for a highly skilled Product Analyst with a proven track record of delivering product analysis and technical architecture within multi-disciplinary teams. You will play a crucial role in defining both functional and non-functional requirements, supporting process design, and driving service improvement for the council's digital reporting platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering: Identify, define, and document functional and non-functional requirements for the "Report It" tool.
  • Process Mapping: Lead as-is/to-be journey mapping, ensuring seamless service design.
  • User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done.
  • Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to define and deliver digital service improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are understood and met.
  • Agile Delivery: Operate in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Previous Product Analysis or Architecture Experience: Must be clearly evidenced on your CV.
  • Government/Public Sector Experience: Strong experience working on government digital services or public sector tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with service reporting systems, API integrations, and cloud-based services (e.g., Azure).
  • Process Design & Documentation: Experience with process mapping, business analysis, and drafting comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Agile & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record working with Agile teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
