My client is now recruiting for a Senior AML Analyst to join their accountancy firm in London. The role offers a hybrid working, 1/2 days in office.

The accountancy group has been established for 100+ years and has more than 700+ staff.

You will report into the AML Manager and perform client take on procedures on new clients and ongoing monitoring of existing clients. You will supervise the work of our team of AML analysts and team administrator and will work alongside client facing managers and partners at the firm to ensure the seamless completion of client due diligence on prospective and existing clients. As part of this, you will need to navigate complex client due diligence requirements and respond to client objections.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that onboarding processes remain appropriate and up to date in line with procedures and the firm’s regulatory requirements.• Assist the team where necessary with complex client ownership structures.• Help to supervise the team workload and be on hand to assist with queries.• Completing quality control checks on team members' work• Be a sounding board and a point of contact for queries from the client facing teams.• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the growth of the KYC department.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Experience and good knowledge of AML/KYC, involving a variety of complex structures internationally • Familiarity with data verification platforms• Experience of working within accounting or other professional services organisation.• Practical and detailed knowledge of AML legislation• Experience of onboarding complex client structures. • Conflict check experience • Ability to work to deadlines and strong time management skills• Experience of managing people is required• Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills• Good IT skills and use of MS office• Educated to degree level equivalent
