Ambition are representing a leading UK law firm that specialises in workplace pension schemes. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Executive (focusing extensively on Bids) to join their team. This role is crucial for driving new business through formal and informal tenders and managing the pipeline process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all bids and tenders, including assessing viability, drafting proposal documents, preparing client presentations, organising post-tender debriefs, and assisting with transition planning.
  • Maintain the pitch library and a register of opportunities, reporting win/lose statistics.
  • Work with fee earners to prepare fee quotes, retainer arrangements, and other fixed fee proposals.
  • Assist the Director of Business Development with larger, strategically important tender opportunities.
  • Develop and manage tools for efficient production of proposal documents, including infographics.
  • Monitor and report on the firm's competitors.
  • Support the firm's business strategy and wider BD aims, including contributing to BD projects such as the new CRM system and posting content on the website and social media channels.

About You:

  • Previous relevant experience in a Business Development role, preferably within a professional services firm.
  • Experience in drafting proposal documents and running the tender process.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of InDesign and the pensions industry is desirable.
  • Excellent research, analysis, and organisational skills.
  • Confident demeanour with the ability to interact with partners and work well under pressure.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to use own initiative.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and a versatile team player.
