Senior Business Analyst - Tax Operations - London - 6 months contract - Hybrid - PAYE
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience of corporate tax and specifically an understanding of the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) to join Morgan Stanley in London on an initial 6 months contract.
What will you be doing?
- This role is in ITU, Global Tax Fleet.
- The successful candidate will take ownership of regulatory / infrastructure change and strategic process innovations from a Tax operations perspective.
- The candidate will ensure that all aspects of change are managed & executed successfully, collaborating with stakeholders across Operations, Corporate Tax, Technology and wider business units.
Business Analysis:
- Collaborate across stakeholder groups to define requirements to implement change via technology, procedures and controls
- Define business case to support prioritisation of change bringing together relevant metrics and analysis
- Write / document detailed user stories, impact assessments and functional specifications
- Partner with technology and operations, ensuring that key stakeholders are included in the Agile journey
Agile Project delivery:
- Support Agile squads, acting as proxy to Product Owner as required
- Innovation, ability to identify gaps & business needs and formulate into solutions in to clear user stories
- Ownership of the delivery of capabilities and epics which make the key initiatives
- Supporting the Product owner and leadership teams with initiative planning and road mapping
- Stakeholder management & provide progress reporting through effective and meaningful metrics
Key Skills:
- Understanding of Common Reporting Standard
- Demonstrated problem solving and business analysis skills, i.e. the ability to structure an approach to work through and solve complex and ambiguous challenges
- Strong organisation and execution skills delivering high quality work under tight delivery timeframes
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience working in an agile framework
- Strong understanding of Tax frameworks and regulations
