Senior Business Analyst

  • Contract Duration: Until end of March 2025 initially 
  • Location: London/Sheffield (Hybrid - 1-2 days a week in the office)

Reed Professional Services are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our client on a key project within the Technology function, focusing on the Universal Service Obligation (USO). This role requires a professional who can navigate complex problems, drive digital transformation, and optimise processes while working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Navigate through complex problems to find solutions and present options.
  • Work with data tools such as Terra Data, Docker Hub, and Mail Mark.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, optimise processes, and enhance user adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex projects within budget and time constraints.
  • Conduct impact assessments for Mail Mark reporting, Terra Data, Docker Hub.
  • Gather requirements and process mapping using up-to-date Business Analysis techniques and methods.
  • Work within both Waterfall & Agile project environments to bring applicable best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Credibility and gravitas to work with a demanding internal client base and complex external supplier base.
  • Experience as a Lead or Senior Business Analyst in large retail or logistics organisations, or in Supply Chain Distribution.
  • Proficiency in business process modelling – UML/BPMN.
  • Stakeholder management experience up to senior manager/director level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including communication, influencing, collaboration, listening, and conflict management.
  • Experience in business change and transformation projects.
  • Vendor/Supplier management experience in a multi-supplier environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to understand software integration and data mapping.
  • Focus on understanding non-functional as well as business requirements.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in retail or logistics.
  • Previous consultancy work experience.
