Senior Business Analyst

Contract Duration: Until end of March 2025 initially
Location: London/Sheffield (Hybrid - 1-2 days a week in the office)
Salary: Competitive

Reed Professional Services are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our client on a key project within the Technology function, focusing on the Universal Service Obligation (USO). This role requires a professional who can navigate complex problems, drive digital transformation, and optimise processes while working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:

Navigate through complex problems to find solutions and present options.
Work with data tools such as Terra Data, Docker Hub, and Mail Mark.
Drive digital transformation initiatives, optimise processes, and enhance user adoption.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex projects within budget and time constraints.
Conduct impact assessments for Mail Mark reporting, Terra Data, Docker Hub.
Gather requirements and process mapping using up-to-date Business Analysis techniques and methods.
Work within both Waterfall & Agile project environments to bring applicable best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Credibility and gravitas to work with a demanding internal client base and complex external supplier base.
Experience as a Lead or Senior Business Analyst in large retail or logistics organisations, or in Supply Chain Distribution.
Proficiency in business process modelling – UML/BPMN.
Stakeholder management experience up to senior manager/director level.
Strong interpersonal skills including communication, influencing, collaboration, listening, and conflict management.
Experience in business change and transformation projects.
Vendor/Supplier management experience in a multi-supplier environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-starter with a proactive approach to work.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to understand software integration and data mapping.
Focus on understanding non-functional as well as business requirements.

Desirable:

Previous experience in retail or logistics.
Previous consultancy work experience.
