Senior Business Analyst (Commodities / Power Trading)

Trading experience essential in most recent years, ideally Power Trading experience.

Start Nov initially until 30th June 2025.

Central London 2-3 days onsite

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our longstanding Energy Trading client in London for a Senior Business Analyst with strong commodities trading experience.

You'll be supporting on an IT Integration Project playing a critical role in analysing the current state (as-is) of multiple entities and portfolio companies IT infrastructure, systems, processes, and workflows.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess how these elements align with the desired future state (to-be) of the integrated organization and drawing out detailed business requirements for the "to be" state.

Beyond just integration requirements, this role will be crucial to understanding requirements for an end-to-end platform. You will work closely with stakeholders from both companies to gather requirements, identify gaps, and develop strategies for a smooth integration process.

You'll also be identifying and defining the business needs for Power Trading stakeholders, and helping to determine solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems.

What we're looking for;

Strong Commodities Trading (preferably Power) domain knowledge and experience
ETRM knowledge and experience
Either pre-existing knowledge, or the ability to learn modern/future developments and the most commonly available products and integrated solutions
Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail.
Able to act as a focal point for a specialized area within Power Trading
Demonstrates a concern and aptitude for considering the user's perspective in IT development. and has a deep understanding of user aspects of interactive systems.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
Ability to communicate concisely and clearly.
Comprehensive understanding of business process improvement, benefit and risk management.
