Senior Business Analyst

Our leading Financial Services client is looking for highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join their team for a 6 months initial contract.

Scope of Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a critical project for the client within the Lifetime Mortgages space. The role involves overseeing the migration of an existing mortgage book and the build-out of a new lending operation. This will require close collaboration with third parties, including Hodge, BCM, and other stakeholders.

The role is split into two primary workstreams:

1. Migration of Equity Release Mortgage Book:

* Manage the transfer of approximately 500 loans from the incumbent legal title holder to the client.

* Ensure the legal title transitions to SLLM and servicing migrates to BCM (existing supplier for SLLM).

* Lead all migration activities, including data mapping, reconciliation, and coordination across multiple third parties.

2. Development of New Lending Operations:

* Design and deliver the Target Operating Model (TOM) for the client's new lending operation.

* Oversee the production of customer-facing and internal documentation.

* Supervise the creation of third-party origination and servicing manuals.

* Coordinate deliverables across segregated IT functions and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

* Define and manage the development of required documentation, including internal and customer-facing materials.

* Conduct detailed data mapping and analysis to support migration and ensure accuracy in reconciliation activities.

* Address NCOBS regulatory requirements throughout the project.

* Apply a hands-on, pragmatic approach to problem-solving, including implementing workarounds where necessary.

* Collaborate with third parties and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Strong experience in mortgage migrations, including data mapping, lifecycle management, and reconciliation activities.

* Proven ability to design and deliver Target Operating Models (TOMs) and process workflows.

* Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage origination, servicing, and operations (including banking operations).

* Experience working across multiple third-party providers and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

* Advanced skills in data mapping, MI analysis, and attention to detail.

* Deep understanding of mortgage regulations and compliance, including NCOBS.

* Familiarity with API provision and its role in mortgage servicing.

* Experience in process and system architecture is desirable.

Personal Attributes:

* Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage setbacks with resilience.

* Collaborative and capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Positive, "all-hands-on-deck" attitude, willing to stretch into additional duties as needed.
