Senior Performance Analyst SEND

Full time: Mon - Fri - 36/hrs a week

Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Senior Performance Analyst in the Southwark area. We are recruiting a Senior Performance Analyst with a focus on Managing the data collection/storage and analysis of intelligence about Southwark's Children with Special Educational Needs. This will be an exciting opportunity to lead on our integration of this data and migration to a new software for data capture. You will work across teams of other professionals who are assessing and reviewing the children's needs as well as ensuring we have accurate information about the resources used to support our SEND children's Education.

A successful candidate will have:

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build purposeful relationships across services and support staff with using and maintaining the integrity of the data.

- Have strong experience with the SEN2 statutory data collection.

- Have confidence to question the quality and timeliness of data/intelligence, and the evidence to drive sustainable improvement.

- Extensive experience of IT Systems/database set up, to migrate data and set out data processes and training for business process and statutory returns around SEND information.

- Expert knowledge of reporting tools and visualisation software to extract and manipulate data and make data easy to use and interpret. For example, SQL and Power BI.

- A passion for data with expert communication skills to translate data to insight for operational and leadership audiences at all levels.

- Strong self-motivation and innovation to identify and provide solutions for issues with managing and reporting on these data.

Knowledge, including educational qualifications:

  • Enhanced knowledge and understanding of the national and local context for Children's Services, including Education Services and particularly SEND.
  • Enhanced knowledge and understanding of legislation, policy and the regulatory frameworks governing Children and Adult Services
  • Strong and detailed knowledge of MS Office suite, reporting tools, CAPITA or other social care or education systems including ability to compile reports with, complex tables and presentations (eg embedded tables / diagrams).

Experience of using a range of software and systems relevant to children's services in support of data extraction, manipulation, analysis, presentation and submission, for example: Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access); Business Objects Infoview & Web Intelligence, GIS, Capita, DFE COLLECT portal, Synergy, Crystal reports (SQL), BI tools (preferably PowerBI)
