An exciting junior opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual with a passion for business development to join the forward thinking marketing and business development department of a leading independent law firm.

The role requires a responsible candidate who will work closely with the business development team to provide support to the Real Estate and Public Policy practices as well as providing support to the wider business development team on firmwide projects. Year on year the firm’s engagement with the business development team increases and this role has been created to enable the team to continue to provide a high level of service. The Business Development Assistant will enjoy a broad role covering a wide range of business development and marketing disciplines. You will support the delivery of practice area plans, helping to ensure activities are carried out to time and on budget. Key duties will include producing market, competitor and client research and providing support for pitch activity. On the marketing side, the role holder will produce and review data around marketing activities and support fee earners on their profile raising initiatives. The successful applicant will work with partners and fee-earners on the development and production of practice area materials, facilitate internal and external communication, lead on directory and award submissions and collaborate with the events team on the preparation of seminars and client events.

Proactive and highly organised, the ideal candidate will ideally possess experience working within a BD or marketing department in a professional services environment, preferably a law firm. With a high attention to detail and excellent project management and communication skills, the Business Development Assistant must enjoy working as part of a busy team and will possess either an understanding of or a keen desire to learn about Real Estate and Public Policy.
