Senior - Lead Business Consultants - London
About our client
- This fintech empowers the world's leading financial institutions and brands to create new business models and transform existing ones. The company's API-first cloud platform is one of the world's most powerful solutions for wealth management, banking, credit, and insurance. The technology, together with the global ecosystem of regulated financial services providers, opens new opportunities for banks, insurance companies, asset managers, IFAs and consumer brands to quickly and flexibly offer their own and third-party financial solutions through existing or new customer channels.
- Key Offering: A B2B2C, white-labelled Financial Services technology platform that enables clients to rapidly design, launch, and manage financial services across channels and verticals, leveraging an open sourcing model, thus improving operational efficiency, growing their offering, and expanding their distribution opportunities.
- What It Is (and isn't): It's not a core banking system. Rather, it's a single platform that interfaces with clients' existing infrastructure, improving customer journeys, advice processes, and product distribution using rich business logic, AI & automation and open & flexible sourcing.
Role overview
The company is expanding rapidly across multiple European markets (including France, Poland, Italy, Spain, and the UK) and is seeking Senior/Lead Business Consultants combining consultative sales capabilities and technical/architectural knowledge. To be successful in this role, you will excel at solutioning with up to C-level stakeholders, bridging the gap between client needs and our client's technology. This is not purely strategic consulting nor purely technical development: it's about owning the end-to-end solution design for existing and new clients, ensuring that each project moves from A to B smoothly and successfully.
Your responsibilities
- Consultative Sales: Identify and develop new business opportunities by offering market-specific propositions using the company's Financial Services technology platform (e.g. Wealth, Credit, Insurance), using a B2B2C, white-labelled approach.
- Solutioning & Client Engagement: Understand clients' current environment (business model, user journeys), and propose business propositions. Lead high-level client discussions to uncover pain points, propose solutions, and coordinate technical deep-dives with architecture teams. Show clients how to get from A to B.
- Architectural & Technical Expertise: Explain how the company's financial services platform integrates with existing core systems, data sources and workflows, ensuring it complements rather than replaces core systems; advise clients' technical teams to ensure smooth adoption of the platform. Show clients how (technically) to get from A to B by translating business requirements into a technical solution.
- Entrepreneurial Market Development: Kickstart growth in multiple regions, adapting to diverse market needs and collaborating with HQ to drive product innovation.
- Relationship Management: Build trusted partnerships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring long-term collaboration and delivering value across their organisations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple functions (e.g. sales, product, technology, implementation) to deliver cohesive solutions.
Your qualifications, skills, and experience
- Experience (3-7 years): Background in financial services consulting, solution design, or strategic advisory-ideally within the Wealth, Credit, or Insurance industry. You will need to understand client perspectives on digital/hybrid advisory, business transformation, and regulatory compliance.
- Consultative Skills: Proven track record in engaging with senior executives and translating complex requirements into actionable, practical solutions.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable discussing how the platform integrates above the core system. No need for deep coding or core banking expertise, but you must grasp the fundamentals of data flows, APIs, and integrations.
- Ownership Mindset: Eager to take responsibility for solution outcomes, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery with minimal oversight.
- Entrepreneurial & Collaborative: Thrives in a fast-paced environment; able to navigate cross-functional teams (product, technology, sales) and adapt swiftly to new challenges.
- Language Requirements: English fluency is essential; local language proficiency (French/Italian/Spanish/Polish) is necessary for each respective market.
