We have partnered with the Lloyd's entity of a global insurance giant to find them a senior pricing actuary focusing Speci/Commercial Property as well as other speci lines. This is a great opportunity to sit with underwriting and see the full spectrum of pricing work from case pricing and portfolio management through to building rating tools in HX and new business exploration. The role includes but is not limited to:

  • 30/40% case pricing, 30/40% model development (HX) and the remainder portfolio/strategy focused work.
  • Sitting in the Underwriting team in a highly collaborative business.
  • Key contact for underwriters on queries related to pricing.
  • Monitoring and analysis of underwriting loss trends, by frequency/severity, segment, using internal and external data as well as outputs from pricing models.
  • Support selection of premium risk parameters to feed into the internal capital and support FP&A teams.
  • Mentor and develop junior actuaries and analysts to support the teams growth and development.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in pricing methodologies and processes.
