The Role: Senior Solutions and Implementation Manager, with a focus on building cross border e-commerce logistics solutions

Plan, design and execute bespoke solutions.

Our client are a market leading cross-border logistics integrator, building unique solutions for processing, clearance, linehaul and delivery of e-commerce parcels, across the world.

They are searching for a Senior Solutions and Implementation Manager to be responsible from concept to delivery, for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of these bespoke solutions.

Using both technical expertise and leadership skills, you will ensure that their clients' tailored requirements are effectively developed, implemented, and successfully launched. .

There will also be a requirement to help design business processes for change management, ensuring best practice is always followed, and assist with mentoring the existing group of Project and Carrier Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design:
- Lead the design and architecture of complex end-to-end clearance and delivery solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and client specifications.
- Carry out scoping for new solution elements, including customs, linehaul, and delivery, understanding needs and translating them into feasible designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (internal business and technical teams, suppliers, clients) to create detailed solution documents, technical specifications, SOPs and roadmaps.
- Complete scoping documents to feed solutions into IT, and liaise with internal and external IT teams through follow-up calls and emails.

Project Management:
- Provide ownership of multiple key product launches, such as new warehouse locations, customs clearance agents, or carrier delivery partners.
- Lead the projects from scoping and requirement gathering, through to implementation and delivery.
- Oversee project timelines, resources and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Define and manage project deliverables, milestones, and risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (such as IT, Quality, Operations) to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Hold regular project and implementation calls to keep all parties informed of project updates.

Implementation:
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of the solutions, ensuring that the deployment process is smooth and efficient.
- Ensure all parties are ready for go-live, hold final project sign-off calls and oversee launches and hyper-care phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during implementation or post-deployment.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams or clients on how to use the new solution effectively.

Internal and External Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project collaborators during the solution design and implementation phases.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and ensure their expectations are managed throughout the project.
- Report to line management and senior management on project updates, key blockers or issues, and overall project health.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure that the delivered solution meets required industry regulation and compliance standards, is scalable, and can be maintained long-term.
- Perform or coordinate testing and validation of solutions before deployment.
- Analyze completed projects to identify areas for improvement in processes or solution designs.
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to continuously improve solution offerings.
- Help design and implement our clients business change management approach, including prioritization and workflow management processes.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Five years' experience managing solution design and implementation of business wide development roll-outs in an IT focused cross-border e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of cross-border logistics solution design, implementation, and management.
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, often across different geographic locations.
- Demonstrable skills in managing large-scale projects, ideally with knowledge of Prince2, Agile, or other project management methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders and clients, as well as for documenting and presenting solution designs.
- Ability to analyze complex business challenges and design effective logistics solutions.
