Business Development & Marketing Tenders Lead - City Law Firm - London / Hybrid - up to £75k + benefits

  • 70% BD & Marketing for specific practice areas
  • 30% Tenders and Bids preparation
  • An understanding of business development and marketing fundamentals is needed
  • Experience of providing full BD support to large business teams is required
  • Marketing qualifications is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience gained in a legal environment is preferable (professional services organisation will be considered)

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive individual, with demonstrable understanding of Business Development and Marketing fundamentals and preparing bids and tenders,to join a leading City Law firm as a Business Development & Marketing Manager - Tenders Lead.Working closely with your assigned practice areas, you will execute marketing and bd plans, identify opportunities and overall build strategy and will provide high quality, proactive business development and marketing support.

Key responsibilities as the Business Development & Marketing Manager - Tenders Lead will include:

  • Managing budgets, costed plans and overall spend
  • Building strategy and executing business development and marketing plans
  • Identifying opportunities and insights and researching external associations, networks, events and marketing opportunities
  • Coordinating tenders, pitches and presentations
  • Attending meetings on a regular basis
  • Planning and coordinating award entries, directory entries, website pages, social media calendar and client mailings
  • Producing digital media (planning, organising production and assisting with development)
  • Coordinating events - planning all logistics as required
  • Managing key account tracking and outreach
  • Driving participation in client feedback programmes
  • Calendarise potential tenders at all target organisations, monitoring and tracking opportunities and relevant news at targets

What we’re looking for:

  • Sound experience in similar business development and marketing roles, preferably within a law practice (or professional services)
  • Experienced in providing full BD & marketing support to practice ares / large teams
  • Solid bids/tenders expertise with experience in producing successful tender and bids documentation to secure new business
  • Planning, budgeting and monitoring skills
  • Accurate, professional drafting, copywriting and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyse and present data to assist decision making
  • Excellent project management capabilities
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills with proactive time management and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • IT savvy with good MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced and deadline driven environment
