About the Role

As a Business Development Associate, you will be a key player in supporting our Business Development Director to meet and exceed our new business growth targets. This role is all about forging new industry relationships, being present at events, and aiding in the crafting and delivery of pitches and proposals. Your proactive efforts will be crucial in generating leads and securing new client engagements across our extensive range of fund services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Forge and maintain relationships with potential clients and key industry figures.
  • Organize and attend meetings with both new and long-standing contacts.
  • Represent our firm at industry events and award ceremonies.
  • Assist in crafting compelling client proposals and participating in pitch presentations.
  • Conduct thorough market and industry research, delivering valuable insights to the Business Development Director.
  • Prepare essential internal documents, such as business development budgets and presentation decks.
  • Enhance our digital presence through thoughtful social media content and website management, including crafting Thought Leadership articles.
  • Help manage our CRM system (HubSpot) and oversee marketing resources.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree educated (2:1 minimum), ideally with 1-2 years of relevant experience in sales or a related field.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with robust time management and planning capabilities.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with superb interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A quick learner, keen to immerse in new industries and topics.
