A leading independent law firm is looking for a proactive and tenacious Business Development Executive to join their team in London.
Year on year the firm’s engagement with the business development team increases and this role has been created to allow the team to continue to provide a high level of service. This will be a varied role that will give the Business Development Executive the opportunity to lead on day-to-day activities in different practise groups such as private client, real estate, public policy and international, covering a wide range of business development and marketing disciplines. You will be expected to develop an understanding of the work of the groups and their sub-practice areas and will work with two Senior Business Development Managers to create practice area and marketing plans and subsequently support their delivery, helping to ensure activities are carried out to time and on budget. The role holder's key responsibilities will include CRM activities, carrying out competitor research, helping to produce practice area analysis and supporting the Pitch Executive on bids. From a marketing perspective, the successful applicant will support fee earners on profile raising activities, collaborate with the events team on event preparation, lead on directory submissions and work with the marketing communications team to implement marketing campaigns and support PR initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position gained in a professional services environment and will be comfortable dealing with partners and fee earners. A team player with excellent influencing and communication skills, the Business Development Executive will be highly organised with strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail. An understanding or a keen desire to learn about the relevant practice areas will also be essential.
