An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced business development professional to join one of the world’s leading law firms to provide focused business development and marketing support to the partners and associates of the firm's Antitrust Group.

The firm has an ambitious global strategy which puts clients at the very heart of everything they do and have a clear mandate to develop existing strengths and relationships whilst also increasing market share in new markets. The firm’s marketing and business development function is seen as pivotal in making this strategy a reality. The team works strategically with the partnership with the aim of making the firm the global law firm of choice for the world’s leading businesses. The Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad role working closely with members of the London Corporate Business Development team and also teams in Europe to support the business development and marketing goals of the Antitrust Group. Acting as the "go-to" person for BD and marketing information about the Group, you will be responsible for assisting with matter-specific pitches and feeding into global panel RFPs and will actively support the one-to-one client development activities of the Antitrust Partners, including researching clients and targets. You will be expected to maintain oversight of the group's priority clients and prospects and undertake client feedback activities in the context of relationship management, pitches and post-matter reviews. The role holder will also be tasked with the continual maintenance of matter information to ensure credentials are kept up-to-date. On the marketing side, the successful applicant will help to shape and implement marketing and thought leadership campaigns including leading and managing key client events and seminars, will publish news and client briefings through internal and external marketing communication channels and will help prepare the group's directory submissions and support directory research.

In order to perform this varied role successfully, an ideal candidate will have significant proven experience in marketing and business development, preferably gained within a law firm or professional services environment, to include demonstrable success in producing pitches, cap stats and directory submissions. A highly motivated self-starter and exceptional team player, with excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills, the Business Development Manager will be confident, articulate, resilient and focused. Previous experience supporting or a sound knowledge of Corporate or Antitrust groups would also be highly preferable.
