Our client a well-recognised professional membership body is currently recruiting for a Business Development Administrator.If you have strong administration skills and customer services skills and have worked for a trade association, professional body, membership body, charity, not for profit organisation we would love to hear from you.

Role PurposeResearching, identifying and validating prospective Member businesses, and assisting with new applicant administration. The main aims are to increase volume and quality of warm leads assigned to the Business Development team and improve recruitment rates.

Main Duties

• Screen inbound sales enquiries to establish if they meet the membership criteria• Research potential new Member targets and identify appropriate contacts within these businesses through online research and cold calling• Assist in lead management of existing prospects• Monitor application progress, and chase outstanding information and documentation• Provide weekly and monthly sales reports and monitor onboarding rates for new Members• Attend and represent the organisations at local and national exhibitions and events and assist with other tasks as required

Person Specification• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and ready to get stuck in• Previous experience of working in a sales/customer/member focused environment• Excellent administrative and organisation skills, time management• Excellent at communicating - written, face to face and on the phone• Ability to work efficiently on a variety of digital platforms including Salesforce and learn new software packages quickly• Be fully conversant with the MS Office suite of products especially PowerPoint and Excel, including working with formulas• Conversant with social media platforms both for communication and for monitoring• Maintain a professional and personable attitude when communicating with colleagues, members and other stakeholders
