Senior Business Development Executive
Permanent – part time - 3 days a week - 9.00am – 5.30pm
£52,000-£55,000– Pro rata

My client, a thriving Law ?rm are currently recruiting for a part time Senior Business Development Executive to join their busy office in central London. This role is a job share with their current Senior BD Executive.
The main focus for this role is to work with the Events Team but additionally to support the Head of BD & Marketing, BD Manager and team in the delivery of the firm's Business Development, Marketing and Communication initiatives.
Other responsibilities will be as follows:
Business Development Activity - 50% of role
- Monitor/track firm-wide relationships with prospects, intermediaries and referral networks; contribute to the identification and development of key relationship builds per practice area and sector group.
- Key account monitoring – working with the Head of BD&M/BD Manager to formalise the process and track via the CRM system.
- Manage the tracking of the BD leads, opportunities and relationships via the CRM system.
- Campaign management – working with Head of BD&M/BD Manager to identify, build, deliver, analyse specific marketing campaigns
Support RFP/Pitch Management - 30% of role.
- Working with the BD Manager and often closely with Partners to produce high quality pitch materials within a very tight turnaround.
- Manage monthly reporting of pitch and outcome performance per practice area.
Support Legal Directories Submissions - 15% of role.
- Working with the BD Manager on the process for the annual submission to the main legal directories (Chambers & Partners, Legal 500) working closely with fee earners to produce high quality submissions within a very tight turnaround.
- Support the process through to interview requests for fee earners
BD Reporting - 5% of role
- Manage the preparation of monthly firm-wide BD Activity report, New Client report and Corporate Deals list.
- Manage the preparation of the fortnightly New Deals/relationship alert.
- Manage the quarterly New Legal Issues report.
- Prepare annual BD activity KPI analysis.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience and skills:
- Previous BD experience of at least 4 years obtained from within a legal background
- Excellent writing skills for preparation of RFI/pitch copy generation, award submissions required
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading ability
- Excellent IT skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, databases/CRM systems
- CIM qualified or training for the qualification
- Confident in dealing with fee earners
- Team player and able to work within a busy BD&M team
This role is hybrid, 2 days in the office and 1 WFH
