These positions are full time with a flexible hybrid working arrangement supporting work / life balance. As a Business Development Officer, you will support the promotion of work-related programmes which include a portfolio of apprenticeships as well as other short courses. This is an external-facing role requiring professionalism and excellent communication skills as you will need to create connections, build relationships and network.

Business Development Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads through research and networking
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners
  • Work with the Marketing Team and engage in business development activities
  • Organise and support functions to promote the University’s apprenticeship opportunities
  • Undertake administrative tasks and duties in order to facilitate Apprenticeship projects.
  • Work with the Operations Team to support prospective employers and apprentices through their onboarding journey

Business Development Officer Key Skills:

  • Experience of building relationships in the HE and the business community
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Highly organised, with good project and time management
