We a have partnered with a leading US law firm, who are seeking a talented Business Development Specialist to support their Capital Markets and Restructuring practice groups. This role involves a blend of business development and marketing activities, aimed at driving growth and enhancing their market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice Support:
    • Assist partners and lawyers in executing Practice Group and Client plans.
    • Develop and maintain marketing materials, standard slides, credentials, pitch materials, and bios.
    • Support cross-selling initiatives and compile legal directory and award submissions.
    • Organise partner meetings and collaborate on profile-raising initiatives.
  • Pitch Support:
    • Prepare tailored credentials and pitches for individual clients.
    • Ensure consistency and quality of pitch materials.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Keep partners informed of key client developments.
    • Conduct research on clients, people, and markets.
    • Manage data on key clients using Microsoft Dynamics and Foundation.
  • Client Events:
    • Create invitee lists and project plans for events.
    • Assist with practice reporting.
  • Marketing and Communication:
    • Promote publications and thought leadership via PR/Media and social media channels.
    • Oversee contact and mailing lists for key clients and practices.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Education/Experience:
    • Minimum of three years' business development experience in an international law firm or professional services environment.
  • Skills:
    • General knowledge of business and financial markets, especially capital markets and finance.
    • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
