Business Intelligence Manager

Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Intelligence Manager to lead and elevate their performance, data analysis and reporting capabilities. A truly exciting opportunity to oversee the business intelligence function, leading a team of data analysts, and transforming the way our client uses a range of data to measure performance, drive improvements and set strategic objectives.

  • Analysing and determining KPIs for governance committees, ensuring dashboards are accurate and ready for review.
  • Scrutinising data robustness and driving timely collation from multiple sources to verify performance metrics.
  • Overseeing the monitoring and analysis of performance data to inform strategic decision-making and service improvement.
  • Producing high-quality reports using Excel, PowerBI, and other data sources for various stakeholders, including senior leadership and resident panels.
  • Leading insight reporting, reviewing regulatory feedback, and forecasting performance based on historical data.
  • Collaborating with Change and Improvement teams to identify areas for service enhancement based on survey insights.
  • Ensuring compliance with current and future regulatory indicators, preparing evidence for inspections.
  • Championing data quality across the directorate and promoting knowledge sharing among performance analysts.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing a business intelligence function preferably within Public Sector such as housing or local authority.
  • Previous experience in electronic management of performance including managing a performance dashboard and associated data and systems.
  • Experience of operating within national and local frameworks of management and accountability.
  • An understanding of the key challenges and requirements of performance management, data quality and intelligence in a local government setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong influential working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An analytical thinker with the ability to develop innovative and creative solutions and to analyse and interpret data for different audiences.
  • Experience of managing a small team with the ability to promote learning, development and career progression.
