The Team: As an Insight Executive on The Sun Insight team, you’ll work closely with The Sun Analytics team, with both teams reporting into the Director of Data. Your role is to enhance our understanding of over 27m monthly readers, supporting marketing, editorial and commercial projects through primary and secondary research and data analysis. This is a fast paced, dynamic environment, where each day brings new challenges and opportunities to influence key decisions. This is a new role in a team that values creativity, innovation and data driven decision making, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to bridge the gap between insight and analytics.
Roles & Responsibilities

Combine Insight and Analytics to inform decision making and ensure the voice of the customer is represented

Influence editorial and marketing with compelling data-driven insights

Share visualise and communicate research to stay ahead of consumer behaviour trends

Identify new customer trends relevant to our brands and category, to share with the business for competitive advantage

Expertly mine data, create visualisations and build compelling stories from data

Provide context, and answer the 'why’ questions generated by analytics data

Use resources like PAMCo, Touchpoints, Mintel and in house 1P data tools (Nucleus, Tableau, Qualtrics) to contextualise and support data story telling

Support in the commissioning of new Qual and Quant research in response to tactical and strategic projects
You will have:

An ability to communicate creatively and succinctly

Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify insights, and translate data into actionable recommendations. Skilled in analysing customer segments, behaviours, and preferences.

An ability to work across multiple stakeholders; and balance the demands of different teams

An ability to work independently, but anticipate and identify when you need to escalate

A great story teller (from data)

Familiar data analytics tools (eg Power BI, Tableau Server or Data Studio) and DMPs

Data-literate - Comfortable working with complex data-sets, but more importantly seeing the patterns and stories that connect the data-points.

Problem-solving - Positive attitude that shows initiative and proactivity

Proficiency in creating clear and impactful visualisations (e.g., through Tableau, Excel etc) that make complex data easy to understand for stakeholders.

Experience in developing and analysing customer segments to better understand distinct groups within the audience and how to tailor offerings.

We offer a flexible working arrangement where employees are expected to be in the office a minimum of three days per week. For the remaining two days, there is the option to work remotely if desired.
