Your new companyYou will be joining a global pharmacuetical company, based out of London, to help support their UK & Ireland business.They have a large team with lots of cross-functional cooperation between departments and an excellent corporate atmosphere.Your new roleThis role involves significant partnering with business units and collaboration with the wider insights team to inform and improve commercial strategy across the UK business. You will be helping to understand and anticipate business needs, generating insights and then translating them into effective business analysis using secondary data, primary market research, and competitor analysis.Key tasks will include:
- Conduct and interpret market and brand analysis to develop strategic and operational brand plans.
- Monitor brand performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate results and recommendations.
- Develop and manage market research/project plans aligned with business needs, including designing and commissioning market research with external partners/agencies.
- Provide analytical and research outputs to support business decisions on promoted products.
- Maintain and improve the data warehouse system in collaboration with the D&I team.
- Support specific projects and provide backup within the Data, Digital, and Technology team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong analytical aptitude with a quantitative focus.
- Experience in a similar role - eg competitive intelligence, business insights/analytics or market research - within a pharmaceutical, biotech or agency/CRO within this space.
- The ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner to different stakeholders.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical data (e.g., IQVIA, Wilmington, NHS data).
- Emerging business acumen and interest in marketing and sales strategy.
- Willingness to challenge thinking and embrace diverse views.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritisation skills; comfortable working in ambiguity and promoting continuous improvement.
- Experience in data-related roles - familiarity with dashboarding software such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or advanced MS Excel is a plus.
