An exciting opportunity has arisen within a rapidly expanding international law firm who require a Pitches & Proposals Manager to join their close-knit, supportive and highly-regarded team to support the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure sectors.

The firm's impressive year-on-year growth is almost entirely the result of a focused strategy, strong leadership and the quality of its people. The Business Development and Communications department comprises over 50 business development, marketing and communications professionals across the globe. As the firm's route to market is through global sectors and clients are international, team members regularly collaborate to deliver cross-border campaigns and global projects. Working in partnership with key stakeholders in the firm’s London office as well as international colleagues, the role holder will focus on helping the firm to win profitable new business and retain existing clients through competitive pitch opportunities and proposals as well as maintenance of key pitch materials and precedents. The Pitches and Proposals Manager will be part of a team responsible for managing the full life cycle of pitch and proposal opportunities including feedback and reporting, working across practice groups and offices for the benefit of the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure sectors. This is an exciting time to join the team as the firm’s continued growth and success is leading to increased investment in both of the Energy and Infrastructure sectors and the building out of a wider Global Pitches and Proposals team. Identifying and contributing towards pitch best practice and supporting on and delivering a new pitch strategy, you will manage strategic pitch opportunities, both transactional and panel, regionally and globally, including the stop/go process, preparation of pitch documentation, coaching teams ahead of presentations and securing client feedback to assess quality and value. The successful applicant must also ensure key databases, such as the firm’s pitch database, panels database and deals database, are updated in a timely manner and will liaise and work with other business function teams, including Compliance, Finance and D&I and Sustainability, in relation to the production of pitch documentation.

A team-player with a positive and creative outlook, the ideal candidate will possess extensive legal or professional services bid management experience through the full life cycle of pitch opportunities from research to seeking feedback, including drafting key elements of the proposal. The Pitches & Proposals Manager will be able to demonstrate past success in working effectively with and influencing partners and other key stakeholders and the ability to take responsibility for and lead multiple projects simultaneously. A high level of attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills will also be essential, whilst experience of delivering pitches in the energy or infrastructure sectors will be highly advantageous.
