Job Overview:

The Practice Lead (PL) drives technical excellence, supports business revenue and margin targets, and ensures delivery quality. Acting as a technical authority, the PL guides stakeholders, mentors teams, and supports delivery. They work closely with senior leadership to align DCI service offerings and consulting capabilities with strategic goals.

The PL also serves as a subject matter expert during sales processes, ensuring consulting operations run efficiently and meet quality standards. Collaboration with the Cloud Infrastructure & Security (CIS) team and the CTO is key to maintaining market relevance and balancing cost and time in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships, build trust, and coach others on customer engagement.
  • Articulate the value of DCI services across the Delivery Portfolio to address customer needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship within delivery teams.
  • Ensure financial targets and quality delivery on billable engagements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in consulting, project governance, communication, and delivery.
  • Lead engagements, supporting both individual and team goals.
  • Track industry developments, innovate processes, and improve delivery standards.
  • Proactively support pipeline management and technical resource allocation.
  • Lead technical screening, interviews, and team development.
  • Provide feedback for Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and Performance Reviews (PDRs).
  • Perform line management duties for Principal Consultants.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance service offerings based on market trends.
  • Maintain and develop the Practice Definition, collateral, and intellectual property (IP).

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and delivery skills with a strong understanding of Technical Design Authority.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams in real and virtual environments.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and delivering projects aligned with client needs.
  • Ability to travel as required.

General Expertise:

  • Experienced in professional services and technical consulting, supporting pre-sales and delivering engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of DCI technologies, trends, and cloud/infrastructure solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience managing dispersed teams and interfacing with Project Managers.
  • Capable of providing clear feedback to stakeholders.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
  • Expertise in DCI technologies (operating systems, hypervisors, storage, networking).
  • Understanding of data center/cloud/application migration methodologies.
  • Vendor certifications (VMware, Dell, Cisco).
  • Extensive experience in consulting and delivery organizations.
  • Strong people management skills.
