Senior Prudential Risk Manager

A leading international bank is looking for a Senior Prudential Risk Manager with extensive experience in risk management and regulatory compliance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the bank complies with all regulatory requirements and for identifying and mitigating potential risks to the business. 

This role is based in London and is offering hybrid working.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's prudential risk, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met and that potential risks to the business are identified and mitigated. They will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to other members of the risk management team, and for liaising with senior stakeholders across the business.  Leading on the implementation of Basel 3.1 and bringing excellent capital, market & liquidity risk management expertise.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Prudential Risk Manager:

  • Manage the bank's prudential risk management framework
  • Ensure that the bank complies with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the bank
  • Model risk management (ECL experience would be very desirable)
  • Managing the Climate Risk Assessment
  • 2nd line risk management
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders across the business

Required knowledge and experience for the Senior Prudential Risk Manager role:

  • Extensive experience in risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Capital, Market and Liquidity requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate having led on the implementation of regulatory change
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
