About Our Client:

Our client is a leading organisation in the energy industry. They are currently seeking a Trade Finance Business Analyst to join their dynamic Finance Transformation Project. This role requires individuals with prior experience in trade finance business processes and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage stakeholders throughout the discovery phase for new projects and change requests
  • Lead daily project tasks to ensure timely delivery
  • Identify and communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation options
  • Work within tight deadlines and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Keep product and business artefacts up to date
  • Document user requirements, logic flows, design, and backlog items
  • Translate complex end-user processes into step-by-step logic flows for automation
  • Collaborate with Finance, Credit Risk, and Treasury teams to prioritise key delivery items

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in trade finance/ Credit and Risk processes and products such as letters of credit, parent company guarantees, and documentary collections
  • Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of trade finance transactions
  • Familiarity with trade finance systems and platforms (e.g., SWIFT, trade finance)
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Experience in working with integration technologies and data migration
  • Knowledge of commodities and energy trading
  • Strong business analysis and project management expertise
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with data sourcing, analysis, and transformation
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and Agile practises
  • Previous experience in the energy industry

Technologies:

  • SWIFT
  • Trade finance systems and platforms
