Our clients, a well established professional body are about to recruit a Committee and Governance Executive to join one of their small but busy teams. The ideal candidate will be a graduate or equivalent, who has experience of secretariat, committee and governance work ideally gained within a membership body or not for profit organisation.

The duties for this role will include:

  • general admin support including coordinating inputs to management reports
  • arrange meetings, prepare agenda and coordinate the production of appropriate papers
  • attend and draft minutes of committee, panel, working group and project meetings
  • arrange the distribution and publication of minutes, communications and follow-up decisions
  • manage and maintain documents and website
  • respond to routine enquiries
  • support communications to the Board and Governance Panel
  • support the planning and delivery of seminars, workshops and training sessions
  • support the periodic reviews of key documents
  • support volunteer management

Previous experience should ideally include:

  • organising meetings
  • minute taking, proof-reading and copy editing
  • providing secretariat for committee meetings
  • excellent stakeholder management
