Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 09:30am - 6:00pm

Our client are the world's first members' studio for content creators. They combine a meaningful community with the magic of a creative studio and the convenience of a coworking space.

They have curated a community of musicians, producers, podcasters, youtubers, artists, photographers and creative entrepreneurs and businesses across their 2 sites.

We are on the hunt for an entrepreneurial leader to join the team as the General Manager. You will be at the forefront of all decisions made to create business success, whilst also creating the foundations for future sites as they scale.

You will be responsible for the on-site team, delivering a best in class experience to members through exceptional day to day operations, all the while growing the community.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an adventurous, passionate and fast-growing founding team and help to create a new category within the creative industries.

Key Responsibilties:

Building Operations:

  • Ensure daily operations run smoothly
  • Ensure that the team adheres to operational requirements
  • Oversee operations of on-site bar and bar staff
  • To maximise the member experience, make sure that all studios and essential equipment are running smoothly
  • Negotiating with contractors and managing service contracts
  • Ensure the site's complicane with fire and health and safety legislations
  • Developing and implementing the procedures necessary to ensure that members have the best possible experience
  • Resolve facilities and maintenance issues swiftly
  • Control the building's OPEX spending to reach your profitability targets

Team Management

  • Lead, manage and oversee the team within your site
  • Deliver performance reviews, ensuring that your staff is aware of their current and potential progress with feedback, coaching and one-on-ones

Member Engagement and Retention

  • Manage and take ownership of relationships with all members
  • Be responsible for retention and general member happiness
  • Act as the main point of contact for addressing complaints, billing, and any other issues

Growth and Finance

  • Reach monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales objectives
  • Input monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, showcasing the outcomes of the work you perform at the site
  • Manage relationships with brokers
  • Develop and implement growth strategies

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of similar experience in studios, creative startups or co-working
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience
  • Knowledge of the music studios industry
  • Ideally having entrepreneurial experience, whether it be in your own business or in early-stage startups
