Cobalt is proud to be partnering with a global property brand in search of a General Manager for one of their flagship Central London assets.

Set within a landmark building in the City this is a career-defining opportunity to take ownership of a prestigious commercial asset, working with a range of high-profile occupiers. With a focus on delivering service excellence and enhancing occupier experience, the role offers the chance to drive operational and strategic improvements while leading a best-in-class on-site team.

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of building management, leading on service delivery, compliance, and tenant engagement, while supporting wider asset strategies.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Lead all day-to-day operations, ensuring service excellence and first-class occupier engagement.
  • Manage service partners across hard and soft services, driving high performance and value for money.
  • Ensure full statutory compliance, acting as Responsible Person for health and safety matters.
  • Oversee large service charge budgets, including forecasting, management, and reconciliation.
  • Support leasing and asset management initiatives, including tenant fit-outs and void strategies.
  • Drive sustainability, wellbeing, and occupier experience initiatives aligned to ESG goals.
  • Manage risks effectively, including emergency procedures, business continuity, and incident response.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop on-site teams to foster a high-performing and collaborative culture.

The successful candidate will be an experienced General Manager or FM leader with a strong track record managing high-profile commercial properties. You will hold IOSH Managing Safely and IWFM Level 4/5 qualifications. A confident leader and excellent communicator, you will bring strong leadership skills with experience managing both in-house and outsourced teams. You will have a solid understanding of building systems, maintenance, and compliance, be well-versed in managing large service charge budgets and contract relationships, and possess a strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
