MLC Partners are actively recruiting an Interim Chief of Staff on behalf of one of our reputable NHS clients to work side by side with their Chief Executive and wider Executive team. The Chief of Staff will provide operational support, strategic planning and counsel, support in key decision making and play a pivotal role in delivering complex projects.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a forward plan of the Executive teams key meetings and engagements and ensure that the team, including the CEO, is appropriately briefed at all times
  • Support Executive time management and prioritisation (forward planning, papers, strategic diary management, working with Business Co-Ordinators)
  • Provide leadership to highly complex corporate (ICB) and/or system (ICS) programmes from time to time, as required by the Executive team
  • Lead projects and programmes of work to continue to evolve the organisations operating model, and play a leadership role in on-going organisational improvement
  • Identify and prioritise issues of strategic importance to be brought to the attention of the Executive team
  • Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Executive team; drawing out key points and implications for the teams attention
  • Work behind the scenes to find solutions to complex problems and deal with issues, before they are escalated to the Executive team.
