Location: Various sites within the M25
80-85k + generous car allowance and benefits package including performance related bonus

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Business Unit Technical Manager to join our established Data Centre division. This role will oversee multiple accounts and sites across the South of the UK, ensuring critical facilities operate at peak performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering, excellent leadership skills, and experience working within Data Centre environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the critical facilities within Data Centres are operating to a high standard.
  • Act as Senior Authorised Person for HV and oversee all high-voltage operations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and post-problem reviews for technical faults.
  • Conduct scenario and best-drill training for engineering teams.
  • Act as the primary client interface, ensuring customer satisfaction and technical clarity.
  • Oversee planned maintenance, system shutdowns, and contractually committed works.
  • Manage and audit subcontractors, including pricing and quoting for small works.
  • Work closely with the Permit Manager to maintain strict Permit to Work controls.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and quality management standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, and method statements for all tasks.
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment, aligning with company and client policies.


What We're Looking For:
Electrically qualified with a proven track record in Data Centre environments.
Strong understanding of HV systems and ability to act as Senior Authorised Person.
Experience in leading technical teams and managing maintenance operations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to fault analysis.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build client relationships.
