We are seeking an experienced VP Operations Manager to join the Trade Settlements team on a rolling contract basis.

Role Overview: The VP Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing trade settlements across multiple asset classes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing, and mitigating operational risks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in trade operations, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a keen eye for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end trade settlement process across equities, fixed income, and derivatives.

  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades in accordance with market deadlines and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and resolve trade breaks, settlement failures, and exceptions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Drive process automation and operational efficiencies to enhance settlement accuracy and timeliness.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, including MiFID II, CSDR, and other industry standards.

  • Act as a key liaison between front office, counterparties, custodians, and clearing houses.

  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Support business change initiatives, system migrations, and strategic projects related to operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a trade operations or settlements role within a banking or financial services institution.

  • Strong knowledge of settlement processes across multiple asset classes.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as MiFID II, CSDR, and operational risk frameworks.

  • Experience with industry-standard platforms such as SWIFT, DTCC, and Euroclear.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with process automation and technology-driven solutions is advantageous.
