The Building Services Manager role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee the MEP systems for a prestigious construction project in North London. Reporting directly to the client, you will be responsible for managing and leading the on-site MEP team, coordinating with subcontractors, design consultants, and commercial managers to ensure the successful delivery of the project. From the early pre-construction stage, you will be involved in procurement and design, providing valuable input to optimize the MEP systems and align them with the client's requirements and sustainability goals.

Your strong leadership and motivational skills will be essential in setting an exemplary standard for the entire project team, promoting the company's culture and core values. You will be tasked with developing the MEP subcontractor tender strategy, preparing scopes of work, and assisting the commercial team with the bidding and analysis process. Ensuring compliance with the client's specifications and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) will also be key responsibilities.

Throughout the installation and completion phases, you will manage all necessary approvals, from drawings and technical submissions to mock-ups and functional design descriptions. Your deep understanding of MEP design principles and project delivery experience will be crucial in overseeing the work of the subcontractors and coordinating with the client and design team to achieve a successful and timely handover of the MEP systems.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess exceptional people management and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing multi-discipline MEP subcontractors on projects exceeding 30 million in value. A strong commercial and financial acumen, along with the ability to contribute to value engineering, will be highly valued. Prior experience in construction management would be an added advantage.

In return, the successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary ranging from 80,000 to 90,000, depending on their level of experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including a discretionary annual bonus, company pension contribution, private medical coverage, and various flexible benefits. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a significant presence in the South of England and contribute to the delivery of a high-profile construction project.
