Job purpose:

  • A key role in ensuring the Estate and Services Management of the Campus is operating efficiently, effectively and safely in line with expected high standards and operational business strategies, working with all departments and external service partners to ensure delivery in line with our overall Mission, Vision, Values and Objectives.

Key accountabilities:

  • Estate Management by facilitating the planning, developing and implementation of the Estate strategy and planner across the 33-acre site area
  • Keeping all external areas, gardens and grounds clean and maintained through effective management of contractors.
  • Contract Management by taking an active lead in managing Service Partner contract such as Guest Services (Cleaning) and Landscaping & Wildlife, and supporting additional Service Partner contracts where necessary
  • Day to day management of the highest standards of excellence for all areas across the Estate and Services in line with the Enjoy-Work Operations
  • Full financial accountability for the Estate and Services budgets ensuring accurate tracking, and involvement in forecast planning
  • Business continuity by supporting Project, Lifecycle Replacement and Fabric work on the Estate
  • Influencing sustainable asset management in line with the business strategy. Working with the Sustainability Data Analyst and Waste & Recycling Manager on key areas of influence and impact such as energy, waste & recycling, biodiversity management
  • Support in car parking management across the estate
  • Ensure that breaches of standards or procedures and any non-compliances or observations are investigated, resolved, corrective actions taken, and learning’s identified and disseminated across the business
  • Determine the health and safety training needs of the business, then assist to establish the health and safety training program
  • Preparation of presentations for webinars, meetings and reports and assist in writing submission documents for external stakeholder engagement
  • Lead in the Health & Safety Management of all our Guests, visitors, members of the public and property management staff and service providers on the Estate.
  • On-call support for the Business in relation to Emergency Procedures and Disaster Recovery
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be required as part of the operations team and/or the overall business
  • Monitor and analyse claims and incident reports and develop appropriate responses, including preventative actions and health and safety programs

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reporting to: Head of Operations
  • Direct Reports: Guest Services (Cleaning), and Guest Landscape and Wildlife
  • Working alongside the Operations Team, consisting of Technical Manager, Guest Relations Managers, Sustainability Data Analyst, Building Services Manager, Waste & Recycling Manager
  • Supporting our Head of Guest Experience, Events Experience Manager and Communications & Engagement Manager

Personal Attributes:

  • Management of an Estate in a similar environment, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of soft services - cleaning and grounds management (desirable for all areas)
  • IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum, but NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable
  • Experience in planning and management of budgets
  • Ability to prioritise within a multi-tasking environment, flexibility and attention to detail
  • You have experience conducting site inspections, ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and ensuring statutory compliance
  • Unquestionable integrity, discretion, ethical and professional approach to business, commitment and personal credibility
  • Proactive attitude, strong organisational, project and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs and prioritise accordingly

  • You have overseen external contractors, property maintenance and major work
