Are you a seasoned Building Maintenance & Compliance Leader looking for your next challenge? This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of estate and facilities management strategies, ensuring the maintenance, repair, and compliance of corporate and council-owned buildings.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a proven leader with a strong background in facilities, estate management, and building compliance. You should have experience managing large budgets and leading operational teams while ensuring efficiency and service excellence. As a strategic thinker, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing policies and frameworks that drive continuous improvement. Additionally, you should be a proactive problem-solver with a strong track record of stakeholder collaboration and a commitment to enhancing service standards.

Key Responsibilities

? Oversee compliance, maintenance, and repairs of corporate buildings and council-owned properties (excluding housing).? Lead & develop a team of six direct reports, including facilities management, contractor management, and estate health & safety compliance.? Manage a £5 million revenue budget, ensuring financial efficiency and effective service delivery.? Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on policy, strategy, and operational improvements.? Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal partners to deliver high-quality, compliant services.? Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the expansion of a digital intelligence-led operating model.? Represent the Head of Service at internal, community, regional, and national forums.? Act as the lead advisor on building use during major unforeseen circumstances, including pandemics.
