My client a well-known University based in the Heart of London's Westend is seeking an enthusiastic self-starting Porter/ Caretaker (Facilities Assistant) to join the Estates and Facilities team.

The core aspects to the position are to ensure that the meeting rooms and venues are fully set up, to plan and to schedule, moving furniture and other such goods within the building and to the other campuses locally.

The position requires a great degree of manual handling so applicants would need be physically fit.

Working alongside the Facilities team you be expected to help assist the maintenance team in identifying any repair or maintenance issues, carry out routine checks and working through checklists to ensure the buildings are safe and met with the standards that are expected.

Other duties include.

Monitoring contractors

Taking goods inwards, furniture, tools, furniture and cleaning equipment.

Basic maintenance (changing light bulbs, replacing fixtures and fittings, flushing etc, all of which training and guidance will be given)

The role requires working closely with a number of other frontline teams.

They are seeking someone that is eager and willing to learn.

Working a 35-hour week Mon - Fri - 11am - 7pm but flexibility to work other shifts 0700 - 1500, 0800 - 1600 or 0900 - 1700

Salary 29'283 + some great benefits (including 35 days annual leave)
