Job Opportunity: Facilities Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Assistant to join our client, an innovative architectural practice. You will work closely with the Facilities Team to assist the London office to operate at a high level of comfort and safety throughout each working day.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the presentation and upkeep of the office, performing daily health & safety checks and addressing any issues.
  • Manage office heating, cooling, and technical equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain office supplies (milk, fruit, stationery, etc.) and place orders following our standard procedure.
  • Carry out minor maintenance repairs and assist with larger manual handling activities (e.g., desk moves, storage).
  • Support staff by responding to requests in person, via email, and through the online ticketing system.
  • Assist with office storage, archiving, and handling offsite requirements.
  • Conduct work experience inductions and DSE assessments when required.
  • Purchase necessary items for the team, adhering to financial procedures

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent), including passes in English and Maths.
  • Some office or customer service experience preferred but not essential.
  • Able to follow set tasks independently and manage ad hoc demands with initiative.
  • Competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A strong team player with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Positive, approachable, and fair-minded.
  • Reliable, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
