Facilities Assistant

Pinpoint Resourcing are currently working with a not for profit organisation based in Victoria who are seeking a Facilities Assistant to report to the Deputy Head of Facilities.

The role will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling the building, assisting with executing day to day health and safety tasks and carrying out basic DIY duties.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks

  • Covering for security guard breaks
  • Monitor the facilities mailboxes
  • Respond and complete daily printing, posting and stocking requests
  • Respond to requests for laminating, binding, packaging and couriers
  • Stock taking of stationery and merchandise when required and stocking print areas
  • Leaflets packed and sent to regional offices
  • Emptying of shredders and changing toners etc
  • Room and Catering Bookings
  • Provide cover and help to Facilities Officers and other team members

Maintenance Tasks

  • Room layout setup for ground floor meeting rooms
  • Providing white boards and stationery for meetings when required
  • Assisting and covering for caterers during busy periods
  • Removing graffiti
  • Adjusting blinds when required
  • Taking the commercial bins to street level and returning to bin store

Health and Safety Tasks

  • Patrolling and reporting on all leaks, condensation, and damp around the building
  • Check all fire escapes are clear and have been opened
  • Water Supply and pumps check
  • Walk around building to check for rubbish/debris in areas that need to be sterile
  • End of day ensuring all taps are turned off
  • End of day turning off of all relevant electricals

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail essential to ensure accuracy of payments.
  • Experience of customer service.
  • Confident user of online banking systems, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience of or desire to work in small Finance team in owner-managed business.
  • Strong numeracy, admin, organisational and time management skills.Good standard of written and spoken English.

Salary + other information:

  • £29,000 per annum
  • 33 days holiday allowance
  • Based in Victoria
  • 5 days in the office
