Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has come up for a Facilities Consulting Assistant who wants to embark on an exciting journey in the commercial facilities sector and obtain practical experience in building services.

About the role: We are currently recruiting Facilities Consultant Assistant to join our busy project office. You will shadow your colleagues in the team who currently perform this role so you will have a lot of room to learn how to perform the role to the highest standards. The role will involve performing facility building audits. Following the audit you will be asked to deliver a report. You will be supporting the rest of the team with surveys as well. Eventually, the role will grow and see you being responsible for audits of buildings independently and this will include checking the performance of all the machinery and similar equipment including Air Conditioning Units and/or other units in a plant room. You will be responsible for verifying that contractors have performed their tasks correctly and that the maintenance is kept to high standards. The successful candidate will be undertaking the review and inspection of building maintenance as well as drafting reports, supporting a wider team with administration, organizing diaries etc.
Requirements for the role:
We are looking for a naturally technically savvy person interested in anything technical/building/facilities and maintenance related! We can consider a trainee person who is interested in the technical aspects of maintenance work and is keen to progress within the environment. The right candidate will be trained to conduct building inspections and draft detailed technical reports with findings and recommendations for clients who are predominantly property owners or managers. This role includes structured training by members of the team and also external industry specialist training. During 9-12 months you will be trained hands-on and able to work independently under supervision. Note that this is a permanent role in the business, however, if the applicant is enrolled in a relevant educational course such as a building services degree on a day release program, they will also be considered.
Qualifications & skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially excel, publisher and outlook. • Excellent organisational skills, proven ability to multitask and prioritise for multiple stakeholders. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work. • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Can-do attitude. • Degree in a Building Services or related discipline (optional). • Good understanding of the engineering services. • Excellent command of English; both written and spoken
