They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join the Engineering Team in their five-star deluxe residential property.

About the Role

The Facilities Manager (Hard Services) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and management of the company's physical infrastructure. This role combines technical oversight, operational coordination, and team leadership to ensure the smooth functioning, safety, and compliance of all facilities. 

The Facilities Manager (Hard Services) will support the Engineering Manager by ensuring the team is efficient, performing well, and maintaining agreed-upon standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise and closely monitor the effectiveness of the in-house PPM programme, ensuring all tasks are completed as scheduled
  • Make sure that all property standards are consistently maintained
  • Manage the allocation and use of resources, including staff, equipment, and materials
  • Work with various departments to follow up on tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Lead the structuring, ongoing management, and use of the CAFM system to provide detailed operational data
  • Monitor and manage team performance, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring high standards of work
  • Continuously monitor team efficiency and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with conducting regular appraisals and providing feedback to team members to support their professional development
  • Address performance issues with team members in a constructive manner to maintain high performance and adherence to standards
  • Check engineering daily reports for accuracy and completeness. Address any discrepancies with team members to ensure all information is correct
  • Distribute tasks among team members based on workload and priority, ensuring an even and effective distribution of responsibilities
  • Oversee jobs reported from other departments, ensuring they are logged in the fault reporting software, prioritised appropriately, and completed in a timely manner
  • Work with the Residents Relation Manager to follow up on resident-reported tasks, ensuring they are updated and completed as required
  • Analyse data related to team performance and productivity with the Engineering Manager. Identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Act as the direct report to the Engineering Manager, assisting with various tasks and responsibilities as required
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to extend asset lifespan and improve operational efficiency, maintaining uninterrupted services for the building and its residents

Required Skills:

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Understanding / experience of excellent customer service in a five-star operation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on approach
