I am currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to come on board and join this fantastic private rented accommodation franchise. You will be responsible for the building performance of the estate, ensuring that residents and colleagues enjoy a building that meets performance expectations and is safe.
You will managing a small team and will ensure through the effective delivery of planned maintenance that the building systems plant and equipment meet operational expectations.
This is a customer facing onsite role, responsible for leading the Facilities Team to deliver the brand’s vision & values in an innovative, operationally efficient manner, providing an excellent quality and value residential environment for a wide mix of residents, occupiers, and visitors.
Other duties will include
- Ensuring that daily/weekly/monthly checks are carried out and compliance documentation in QUOODA.
- Ensure the building teams have regular building compliance training and that emergency planning and evacuation drills, are carried out and recorded.
- Working with building property teams, security, concierge and specialist contractors whilst liaising with residents whilst responding to general maintenance requests.
- Carrying out mid- term apartment condition inspections and managing the turnaround maintenance process at end of tenancy.
- Work with the Estate manager to ensure compliance with current Building Safety, Health & Safety regulations across campus.
- Oversee scheduled apartment conditions inspections and recording of the same and complete all resultant actions in a timely manner.
- Hard & soft maintenance services including maintaining a rigorous permit to work implementation.
- Consider the impact on residents, staff, organisation and budget when decision making, and ensure a balance is maintained across competing objectives and needs.
- Support new members of the team, providing a warm welcome and supporting their development through training, guidance, and mentorship.
- Provide appropriate training for the development and for the safety of team members.
This is a busy and hands on role. To be considered for this role you must possess:
- Previous experience within Facilities Management/maintenance and/or Health & Safety services
- Sound knowledge of H&S requirements for a residential building including contractor risk assessments, method statements, compliance checks etc.
- Excellent customer relationship skills and attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills, verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Intermediate IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Strong team player with a willingness to support others.
- A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a desire to achieve outstanding results.
- Ability to work independently.
