An award-winning IP law firm based close to Chancery Lane station is seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator, paying up to 50,000 plus benefits, on a 12 month FTC to join their close knit team.

This is a really great opportunity for a legal financial professional to jump into a role where you will be involved in all aspects of the company's finance function. From audits, legal billing, AP to reporting. There will also be some line management and mentoring involved in the role too.

Duties will include the following:

  • Ensure that bills generated in the practice management system are accurately recorded in the system
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between the practice management and accounting systems
  • Prepare ad hoc invoices as and when required
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations
  • Generate and distribute monthly WIP reports
  • Manage the month end billing deadline process, communicating with various Billers to ensure the deadline is met
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger in preparation for the year-end audit
  • Assist in ensuring timely and accurate processing of received invoices
  • Complete regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist in responding to accounts payable queries
  • Assist with finance-related project work

The ideal candidate will come from a legal finance background and will have high level stakeholder management. You will have experience in all aspects of the finance function of a law firm including billing. Experience mentoring and coaching more junior members of a team will also be advantageous.
