What you will be doing in your role:
- Lead and deliver a professional and technically competent maintenance service in providing the highest affordable standards of presentation, conservation, safety and security. Ensuring the protection of historic fabric and objects, and throughout maintenance operations and works. To ensure minimal disruption from maintenance works to visitors, residents and staff. Effectively communicate to all relevant departments, staff and residents of pending maintenance works likely to cause disruption or inconvenience.
- To manage and plan for the upkeep and conservation of the building fabric and the upgrade and improvement of the M&E services, so they continue to operate as optimally as possible for successive generations.
- To effectively line manage the Contract Managers, MF Business Support Officer/Facilities Coordinator, Post Room Operative and Warehouse
- Assistant/Porter. Providing the necessary support, guidance, training and motivation in the delivery of a comprehensive, committed and responsive reactive and routine MF support service. Produce and update all necessary health & safety policies and RAMS in the safe operation of staff you will be responsible for.
- Responsible for (and via your staff) the work of all external contractors, consultants and other agency staff. For the primary on-site contractors, to manage these contracts, develop KPIs/targets and monitor performance. Maintain high service standards of contractors and their work in respect of quality, time, execution and H&S. Chair meetings and carry out regular reviews.
