About the RoleHyperion Partners is proud to partner with a leading provider of social housing to recruit a dedicated and proactive Building Manager. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for supporting communities and managing safe, well-maintained living environments for tenants.

As a Building Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential housing complex, ensuring it is well-maintained and that tenants’ needs are met efficiently and professionally. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the building’s standards, dealing with tenant inquiries, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential building(s), ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for tenants.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, and building improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing queries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor tenant satisfaction, building relationships, and fostering a strong sense of community.
  • Ensure that all building safety standards, including fire safety, are met and maintained in accordance with local regulations.
  • Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure smooth and efficient building management operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of building activities, repairs, and inspections.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building or facilities management, ideally within a social housing setting.
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance, health and safety regulations, and tenant relations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of tenants and stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to ensuring that tenants’ needs are met and that the building is always in optimal condition.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
